Justin Holland was an African-American who dedicated his life to the study of classical guitar in the 19th century. He was an arranger of over three-hundred works of classical guitar music, and taught guitar to many prominent individuals during his lifetime. Holland was an early endorser and user of guitars by Christian Frederick Martin.
