I am an abstract stone sculptor based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Born in Sherbrooke, Québec, I spent magical summers at the lake in nearby Magog, in the rolling hills of the Eastern Townships. My summers at the cottage permeated my being with a deep sense of appreciation of the formidable beauty of my landscape.
As a child, patterns and textures intrigued me, and instilled a depth of wonderment for nature and colour that continues today. As an artist, I am thankful for the nurturing of that landscape; it will forever be an unparalleled inspiration for my art. The fluidity and elegance in my sculpture reflects earth’s flow, its energetic tension and the peaceful feeling of our landscape.
A passion for sculpture led me from clay to stone sculpting—from representational to abstract.
Eventually, my stone sculptures became a personal interpretation of earth rhythms. Each sculpture is a freeze-framed macro image from our natural earthscape.

My art resonates from the spirit of the land, and I create from a place deeply rooted in intuitiveness, with an open flow of communication between heart and hand. As a Reiki Master, I feel energies within the stone guiding me as I sculpt. Mark-making on my stones is a pure, magical moment of gestural energy captured before the polishing process begins.
These mysterious strong stones have traversed the galaxies, and each have their own distinct history imbedded within. Whilst I sculpt, I listen as they share those deepest of memories like whispers on a wind, or through the transference of universal energy, which I feel as Reiki through the palms of my hands.
Direct carving affords me the luxury of time to reach deep, seeking my connection with the stone, forging memories and emotions that bond us. Each dialogue sparks a sculpture’s accompanying reflections as a brief thought or poem.
There is something sacred that lies beyond the enduring beauty and tranquility of a simple stone. I feel that stone communicates ongoing hope for our natural world.
I value my voice as an artist, so craftsmanship and attention to detail have always been paramount in my practice; you can sense the hand of the maker.
I am an elected member of the Sculptor’s Society of Canada and the Society of Canadian Artists. I have exhibited in numerous galleries and with prestigious societies such as the Royal Society of British Artists (UK), the Society of Women Artists (UK) and am listed in the Library and Archives of the National Gallery of Canada.
