I began drawing at a young age; I would look out the window at the clouds and sketch them. And I imagined soaring in the sky—in and out of the clouds.

 

 

I have always loved the “smell” of warm sunshine and the feeling of the wind against my skin. I capture these sensations and my life with paint, words and photographs.

 

 

I create artworks that respond to universal inspiration.

 

 

We come from different cultural and ethnic orientations, yet we are the same. We are human, living on a planet that sustains us.

 

 

We are finding our way, stumbling in the dark. I am one of these humans. I have been driven to discover balance and harmony inside myself.

 

 

We are each connected to a grand consciousness that evolves as we do. I want my works to reflect our common need for discovery and balance inside ourselves and in relation to the outer world.

 

 

I use layered, saturated color to create space and light. My paintings are poetic windows of experience for my viewers. I want them to experience a work of art that offers them repose and contemplation.

 

 

My color choices provide both an enlivening and a soothing balance of emotion and being. My desire is for the viewer to wander in my works of color. I seek to be aware of what is possible. I practice listening—listening is the skill of the journey and of painting.

 

 

I am in awe of life. It is more than magical, more than mysterious to be alive. We each have the chance to learn, to grow and to develop our humanness and interdependence. As one who makes art, I believe in the importance of art—it is my task to paint on the cave wall. I talk about realities, possibilities and histories common to our human tribe.

 

 

I love to work on a large scale. I enjoy working with clients in order to develop stories—personal windows of poetic humanity.
