With three successful Fête du graphisme events behind us, a new festival is coming in hot this year. It will be a free festival event for everyone. Co-produced by D’Days and Artevia, the celebration will put graphic designers and their work on the spotlight. They will showcase how dynamic, multi-faceted, rich, and diverse this form of art is.
To many people, graphic design is simply the fine print and colors on books, posters, and advertisements. But beyond these, graphic design has become part of all of our lives. You can see it on the Internet, on magazines, academic books, marketing and advertising, signages, packaging of virtually all products and services, and even in industries like textile and fashion. Without a doubt, graphic designers play a huge, vital role in how society and culture is shaped every day. It has crept not just into public spaces, but across private and intimate requirements as well.
