Victor Koroma is a Los Angeles-based creative making banal objects of everyday life more interesting through context and composition. In his series ‘A Beautiful Mess’ Koroma has altered gross, crumbled, thrown out cigarette packages to reinject beauty into the seemingly doomed objects.
“A Beautiful Mess is a play on advertising’s ability to make certain products seem more appealing than they truly are,” Koroma explains. “Through carefully designed exterior packaging advertising companies deceive, trick, and lure consumers with an aesthetically pleasing trap.”

Koroma scans the trash and beautifies the packages using mixed media including watercolors, stains from his morning tea, his evening wine, and his cups of coffee. See more interesting projects on his website.
