Technology is truly reworking how we look at photography. Digital design through mediums such as Photoshop, Illustrator and more, are churning out new and creative interpretations of images that have existed for a century. One such digital crusader is Alessandro Pautasso, a photographer, graphic designer and illustrator who is using vector-based graphics in a stylish new way. Vector is a fairly general term that has to do with shapes. Pautasso uses these shapes and vibrant colors to achieve a refreshing kaleidoscope effect.
Based in Turin Italy, Pautasso has recreated some famous photographs of well known celebs using his colorful new fractal approach. “Kaneda” as he’s known, has redone photos of people like Frank Sinatra, James Dean and the Duke.
