French artist continues to illustrate the sky with funny characters

We have already covered the works of French illustrator Thomas Lamadieu last year. Now, this unique artist comes back to our blog with brand new pieces of art from the same series of illustrations, entitled ‘Sky Art.’ Praised by many gallery owners, journalists, and art lovers around the world, Lamadieu illustrates the skies of France, Germany, Canada, Spain, South Korea and the United States, populating them with funny characters, which tell us their whimsical stories in the most unusual way.

Creatively mixing photography with illustration, Lamadieu has created an entirely new sub-genre of digital art. What’s also intriguing is that his curious drawings in the sky are done with such an old-school software like Microsoft Paint. It’s just another superb example of how artists’ creativity matters more than the tools they use. Be sure to check Lamadieu’s website for more marvelous sky illustrations.
