Whether they are Disney characters or other pop culture icons, most cartoon critters are cute and cuddly. They exist to put a smile on your face and are super kid friendly. These altered characters by Dan Luvisi are not the adorable pop culture icons that you grew up with. The DeviantArtist has made them much grittier, even nightmarish, in his ‘Popped Culture’ series.
You would not want your kids watching these characters on TV or in the movies. It is as if Luvisi is populating a grimy and seedy cartoon underground, one character at a time – and you probably wouldn’t want to visit this place.
