Many people will tell you that today’s youth does not care about the past, but that could not be further from the truth as teenager Annalisa Hartlaub proves in her series of photographs. For a school photography project she has created a self-portrait photograph dressed as a typical teenager from every decade over the last century. Her project is called ‘Counter Culture.’
These photos show her, on the left, as a typical teen from the era and, on the right, as a counter-culture teen. One thing that strikes you is how little culture has really changed over that time period. For photos that are about self exploration, they certainly have a lot to say about all of us.
