Based on a “love affair with glitter and all things cute,” out-of-this-world Etsy shop I Sew Cute sells celestial jewelry that brings the cosmos down to earth. Handcrafted by June, an Ohio-based artist, each pretty piece of galaxy-inspired jewelry adds a bit of space-y sparkle to any look.

Featuring shimmering stars, gleaming planets, and swirling nebulae, the quirky collection of rings, pendants, and earrings is perfect for those who “dream of distant galaxies and love space exploration.” June hand-casts each one-of-a-kind piece from slick and shiny resin. To create the astronomical imagery, she adds “oodles” of microfine glitter and teeny, tiny photos of space to the resin domes, which magnify the pictures and allow light to reflect off of the sparkles.
While much of her work is composed of resin, June also dabbles in a wide array of mediums. “In a nutshell I’ve been making stuff ever since I was a little girl,” she recollects. “Whether it was stitching up small stuffed animals from my mother’s fabric scraps or carving things from bars of soap…I used what was available at the time and it helped nurture me to be an inventive and flexible artist.”
June also creates other whimsical works inspired by animals, holidays, and lots and lots of color. You can see her entire eccentric collection in her Etsy shop.
