Graphic artist re-focuses classic art for a new point of view

With the use of Photoshop, art student Serena Malyon has created new images from some classic pieces of art.

Using the photo editing software, Malyon changed the focus, contrast, and saturation of some of Vincent Van Gogh’s most popular works. Nothing is added or taken away in the images — they are merely edited in a way that draws attention to aspects that weren’t prominent in the original pieces.

Listen beautiful relax classics on our Youtube channel.

For example, in ‘Starry Night,’ the focus is changed to a smaller building in the background of the painting. It seems to create an entirely new piece of art.
