Guim Tió Zarraluki’s monochrome portraits obscure faces with abstract markings

Guim Tió Zarraluki covers the faces of his subjects with strokes of brightly-hued oil paint.

The Barcelona-based artist explores memory and how it is distorted over time in his portraits. This, backed by research into how things can now be immortalized in smart phones and technology potentially forever, resulted in his latest series, No Name Project.

Listen beautiful relax classics on our Youtube channel.

Each subject has strokes of oil paint cover his/her face. In Now, Remember, entire faces are covered with circles and swirls. Check out some of the paintings below and find more on his Instagram and Facebook.
