Melbourne artists Heesco and Mayo collaborate for the first time on a notorious wall in Richmond not far from the centre of the city. For years there were attempts to give this wall a well-needed makeover and finally, this goal was realised in just seven days. The wall was buffed and photographs were taken of locals from the diverse community around the area. Mayo then took to the wall, covering the whole space in his signature calligraffiti with a range of gold and copper metallic shades. Next up Heesco painted the six large portraits in black and white, one by one, gazing out into the distance. The hoards of locals passing by daily are loving the finished work which seems to reflect a small portion of the large mix of cultures seen in modern day Melbourne.
