We’re all familiar with kinetic sculptures and how they’re often used by artists and designers to convey intangibles like time or motion. But how about interactive sculptures like ‘Hexi’? Canadian designer Thibault Sld created a wall-mounted structure consisting of individual hexagonally sculpted nodes.
The structure, with 60 nodes containing mechanical servos, ripples in response to your movement. The interactive sculpture he calls Hexi, is, in his own words, an avenue where “geometry, light, mechanisms and interaction collide.” You can learn more about this rad project over on his website. Also, check out the cool video he posted showing Hexi in action!
