The team of Kazunori Fujimoto Architects has designed a modern concrete house in Hiroshima, Japan.
Completed in 2016 by the team of Kazunori Fujimoto Architects, this modern and minimalist concrete house has been placed on a peninsula of Hiroshima, Japan. Simply called House in Akitsu, this modern and minimalist home consists of two rectangular overlapping volumes. A wide staircase and a terrace form the entrance area of the house. The entire façade of the house is characterized by rough concrete. The same concept of rectangular shapes can be found inside the building. A concrete spiral staircase creates a well balanced twist with the straightforward environment. Large windows provide great views of the beautiful landscape and illuminate the monochromatic living concept. Whether exterior or interior space, the overall visual experience is characterized by the reduced architectural design. Please have a look at the images below.
