Children do not want to go to sleep at 8 PM, or whenever you’ve decided bedtime is. They’re not sleepy, and they want to play. But their parents have been waiting all day for a chance to catch their breath, and they’d love to have a few minutes of calm before they fall into their own exhausted sleep.
