Human consciousness and geometry explored in original wood art

Jade Tomlinson and Kev James of Expanded Eye have come out with a refreshing and original artworks that explore human consciousness, geometry, and the natural world. The three-dimensional works come in the form of painted assemblages constructed using repurposed wood.

The panels are used as canvases where window spaces and doors dictate characters and their features. The duo explains, “Using [the] same visual language and symbols to depict stories and concepts but with skin comes limitations, as opposed to working with wood and large scale, you have boundless artistic freedom. Different mediums allow for different explorations.”
