Holiday season is over but gift wrapping shall go on so long as people give each other presents. Or they can just look at the hyperrealistic works of Yrjö Edelmann.
It is impossible to distinguish Edelmann’s paintings from photographs. His work depicts gift wrappers haphazardly put together on traditional canvases, increasing the illusion. His perfect renderings of shadows as they flow across uneven, and at times, jagged surfaces adds to the realism.
