If film directors were architects…

A good movie is like a house: you need builders to bring it from script to 3D reality, interior designers to make it personal and believable, and actors who would live in it. But just as all the house projects start from architect’s sketches and graphics and heavily depend on them, so is the movie is nothing without its director’s primary vision that he or she leads all of the team through along the way.

In “Archidirectors”, Italian architect and illustrator Federico Babina creates unique designs ,trying to simulate the visuals of what the houses created by famous movie directors would look like. Lucas’s spaceships, Andersen’s pastel colors, Lynch’s dark mystery, Chaplin’s quirky industrialism of 1920s — these are only a few distinctive features in Babina’s creative series that brings us straight into the worlds of our beloved directors.
