This deeply disturbing series of illustrations by Alex Solis turns perfectly innocent animals into gruesome killers. Each character has an adorable stuffed animal look and glassy eyes staring ahead, unaware of the traumatic scene they are involved in. The animals don’t appear to feel bad, feel pain, or have any emotion at all besides their ongoing glazed-over satisfaction.
The series called ‘Predator vs. Prey’ brings out the animal instincts in our favorite perfectly innocent creatures. It reminds us that we are all just animals and questions human desire and the animalistic compulsions that show through, but often go undetected, in everyday life.
