Anshuman Ghosh wanted to create another world that thrives and comes alive with creativity. He started out as a street photographer but later on realized that he couldn’t create his ideal world with it. That’s when he came up with the brilliant idea of using his iPhone for his illustrations.
The Johannesburg-based South African artist’s quirky creations require precision and hard work. He first makes colorful drawings on paper and carefully cuts them out to scale so he can incorporate them with his iPhone. The results are delightful, ranging from iPhone illusions of it being a vase, a toaster and even a plate full of ramen.

Talking about his work on his Instagram account, Ghosh says, “I wanted to create something that was a fusion between what was real and what was not. Placing the phone in the picture gives me the freedom to trick my audience into believing the phone is more than something that it is.”
