Impressionist collages give light to the use of paper to express creativity and love for travel

Carolyn Beehler is a visual artist that gives collages an entirely new life. Expressed as “textures words and symbols that create layers of story and symbolism,” she has a new series that are inspired by travel. Beehler used paper in making the whole project, using magazines, books and brochures.

You can see some of these creations below. One prominent one is the portrait of  a Hong Kong family, which was inspired by her travel to China, followed by pieces reflective of her time in Venice and Naples, among others. Impressionism is also prevalent in her work, thanks to inspiration from van Gogh and Dali.
