These Oakley Radar Pace sunglasses were created in collaboration between Oakley, Intel, and Austin-based Mixer Design Group. They feature Bluetooth headphones and are intended for extreme athletes to receive real-time coaching and feedback while running or cycling.

Mixer Design Group was called in because they’re experienced with both ergonomic integration and the packaging of small electronic components.
“Creating products like Radar Pace requires creative give and take, hundreds of prototypes and extremely close collaboration,” writes Mixer Design Group. “Working across multiple disciplines is a basic building block of Mixer’s DNA. We were the nexus of the device’s physical development team through our close coordination and effective communication with Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design and Human Factors.”
