It’s been said that you should “dress for the job you want.” If that’s the case, then the children in these photographs, who come from different countries across the globe, are taking their first steps toward success. These photos are the work of Belgian photographer Sofie Knijff, who traveled to countries like South Africa, Mali, Brazil, India and Greenland over the course of three years.
She asked each child what they wanted to be when they grew up, and watched as each individual’s upbringing and surroundings naturally informed not only their answer, but how they visualized their chosen profession.
