Celebrate L.A.’s finest jazz musicians with Jazz at LACMA, presented Friday evenings from April to November.
This week, join us for a concert with the Louis Van Taylor Quintet.
Saxophone and woodwind specialist Louis Van Taylor has been performing the world over. His career began with a 20-year association with Ray Charles, followed by stints with the Gap Band, Kool and the Gang, Gerald Wilson, Jimmie and Jeannie Cheatham, Phil Ranelin, and many others. Van Taylor has taught at the USC Jazz Studies Department for seven years and has also mentored Washington Rucker’s Jazz for Wee People, sponsored by the Los Angeles Jazz Society.
RSVP for a reminder email. Seating is limited and first come, first served. Visitors are required to wear face masks in all indoor spaces including restrooms, regardless of vaccination status. Unvaccinated visitors are encouraged to wear face masks outdoors. A well-fitting medical-grade mask, surgical mask, or higher-level respirator such as an N95 or KN95 mask is strongly recommended.
