Kids Art Class: Summer Art Camp—Painting with Electric Circuits (Ages 9–12)

Learn how to create electric circuits that will light up your paintings! We will create small watercolor, collage, and acrylic paintings that incorporate colorful LED lights. By using simple materials like copper tape and small batteries, students will learn the basics of building a conductive circuit. We will also explore different abstract and formal art-making techniques. With artist Brandon Barr.

Join on your computer or tablet wherever you have internet. A Zoom link will be sent prior to camp start. Materials are included in tuition.
Monday–Friday: July 26–30
Brandon Barr received his BFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from the Kansas City Art Institute, and his MFA in Electronic Integrated Arts from Alfred University. He has exhibited nationally and internationally including in China and Brazil. His artwork combines sculpture, painting, and digital media. Brandon has taught at Armory Center for the Arts, Brentwood Art Center, and LACMA. He has also taught and assisted at various colleges across the United States.
Pre-registration is required for all classes. Enrollment for summer Art Camp begins on April 14, 2021, at 12 pm PST.
This camp will take place online via Zoom.
