Packaging design by graphic design and branding studio SHIFT for La Confesión.
Studio SHIFT from Monterrey, Mexico just sent us their latest work for La Confesión, a premium Sotol from Coahuila. It’s a distilled spirit made from the Desert Spoon (Sereque) through a process that is quite similar to the artisanal production of tequila and mezcal. Read more below the following image.
SHIFT’s packaging and branding solution is a nod to Sotol´s unique properties as well as mystical history and heritage. The design masterfully combines prehispanic and colonial elements. The used typefaces refer to colonial prints and lettering found in confidential documents and contracts. By incorporating foil finishes and small detailed cuts, the labels and paper texture complement this feel. Below you can find a few images of the brand and packaging design.
