LAYER founder and experience designer Benjamin Hubert designed the Strand lighting collection for Muuto, comprising four pendant lamps that have been constructed with a steel frame that’s been spray-covered in an innovative cocooning material. Driven by a desire to create a lighting series with simple contemporary forms using a minimal amount of material impact, Hubert created more from less. Strand relies on softened forms of industrial lighting found in public spaces, and a neutral palette, to adapt to a wider range of environments. Available in four different sizes and shapes, Strand’s pendants can be hung individually or grouped together to make a statement.
