You are what you eat, according to the old saying. This series of portraits captures people around the world posed with a day’s worth of food.
Compiling the project into the book What I Eat: Around The World In 80 Diets, photojournalist Peter Menzel worked with writer Faith D’Aluisio to give a glimpse into the diverse ways that people live. When collecting the portraits for the book, the husband and wife duo arranged them in the order of the number of daily calories each person consumes.
