David Friedman is the deputy vehicles director for the Union of Concerned Scientists. He is the author or co-author of more than 30 technical papers and reports on advancements in conventional, fuel cell, and hybrid electric vehicles. An engineer, he previously worked in the fuel cell program at the University of California, Davis, and at the Arthur D. Little management consulting firm researching fuel cell, battery-electric, hybrid electric vehicle technologies, and solar energy.
