Ever since its launch back in April 2015, the Apple Watch has seen hundreds of watch band variations from designers and smartwatch enthusiasts alike.
JUUK, inspired by the jukebox, is headed by Canadian designer Eugene Ho – a watch development veteran with more than 19 years of experience under his belt. The ‘Ligero‘ Apple Watch band is their latest offering and I’ve been a fan ever since I unboxed it.
It’s comprised of ‘links’ that can be added or removed to fit your wrist. This is a painstaking process. But JUUK simplifies this with a custom tool that makes adding/removing links a three-step process. After that, you’ll never worry about your band being too loose or too tight. Its butterfly deployment buckle makes putting it on easy as pie.
It was hard for me not to obsess over JUUK’s attention to detail. The Ligero is sturdy and exquisitely machined out of 6061 hard anodized aluminum. Everything from finish to feel is a testament to its premium quality.
Apple’s Link Bracelet watch band goes for a whopping $549 USD! Instead, you can pick up a Ligero from $99 USD and choose from a variety of colors including Rose Gold, Rainbow, Ruby, and even Cadmium! If you’re an Apple Watch fan, make sure you give the Ligero a shot here.
And stay turned for the upcoming Vitero – a sportier take on metal Apple Watch bands.
