So this came out today. It’s an 11-minute long-form music video for Lil Dicky’s “Pillow Talking feat. Brain,” which immediately begs the question, “Why are we talking about this?”
Truth is, the video, directed by longtime Lil Dicky collaborator Tony Yacenda, is actually funny. It has rambling alien theories, pizza, and John C. Reilly as a holographic God, plus it nails comedic VFX with a talking velociraptor and a brain that spits it off the… brain. Surrounding all the Lil Dicky-ness is a relatable story about people who can’t see eye to eye but still try to exist in the same space anyway. Right now, troubling as it is to say, that might be exactly what America needs.
