Jack Long is an American photographer who captures liquid motion sculptures at a speed of 1/10,000th of a second. It is evident in his newest images that this technique of documenting dripping liquid took years of refinement to perfect.
The splashed materials are caught at the exact moment of surface impact, which results in vaguely calculated floral compositions. Because of the technique’s fleeting nature, it can take hundreds of captures before he is satisfied with a ‘blooming’ moment. Long’s hard work pays off, apparent in his symphony of colors and textures seen below.
