Meet Maman, a nine-meter spider that graced the opening of the Tate Modern in 1999. Created by Louise Bourgeois, the sculpture provides a feeling of awe with its detailed crevices and sheer gigantic size. Is it very intimidating? Imagine a nine-meter spider actually hovering over you, like a real spider of that height. No thanks! However, seeing it as a still work of art is another experience altogether.
