Long Beach sunsets in vibrant neon paintings

Gone are the days of technicolor, and the limited number of colors we could see on vintage television sets. Artist Grant Haffner, though, is bringing back technicolor through his beautiful paintings.

The paintings are inspired by Haffner’s nostalgic childhood memories of seeing beautiful sunsets while living in Long Beach in Sag Harbor, N.Y. Using a variety of pencil, marker, acrylic, and paint pens, Haffner creates vivid neon landscapes that encompass the overall look and feel of alluring Long Beach sunsets.

Looking back, Haffner writes, “Now that I am older, I can see how the landscape is changing and am reminded that it will never be the same.”

Below are some of Haffner’s neon sunset paintings, and if you’d like to see more, head on over here!
