Los Angeles’ New Freehand Hotel Is a Artsy Retreat in the Middle of the City

The recently-opened Freehand Los Angeles is the newest property from the ever expanding Sydell group. The new hotel, located in downtown Los Angeles, includes over 220 bedrooms, restaurant, flower shop, cafe and a rooftop pool & lounge which is home to the award-winning Broken Shaker, a communal lobby area with salon-style cocktail service.

Listen beautiful relax classics on our Youtube channel.

Freehand LA offers 167 private accommodations in addition to 59 shared rooms, ranging from a spacious Corner Suite to a Super 8 Bunk Room. The hotel incorporated Urban Art into its core design with a stunning mural work by CYRCLE.
Guests can either choose to book a room with city view or the art view to get up close and personal with the mural which we highly recommend. the Los-Angeles street art duo spent several days working on this intricate and colorful mural which adorns the building’s lightwell.
The rooms are also outfitted with vibrantly colorful textiles and dynamic accents including custom light fixtures, case goods & upholstery, and painted tile.

Downtown Los Angeles also hosts a selection of world-class murals which are conveniently located close to Freehand Los Angeles making it the perfect fit for Art travelers. As we spent several days at Freehand Los Angeles, we’ve crossed nearby murals by How & Nosm, Tristan Eaton, Hueman and a lot lot more…

The Freehand is now open, for more information head to freehand.com. For more artsy places to stay around the world, check out our recent hotel reviews.
