You’re never too old to have a stuffed animal—especially when they’re as cute as Katharine Bowen’s (aka Lily and Peabody) handmade sea creatures. From a lovable narwhal to a giant octopus, the charming collection of plush toys features a wide variety of aquatic animals made from luxury, super-soft fabrics.
“From the dark depths of the ocean to the crisp shorelines of the sea, [our] lovingly handcrafted plush sea creatures [are] eager to join your family,” says Bowen. The artist’s adorable plushy pals include whales, sea turtles, octopuses, jellyfish, and even walruses. Each one is lovingly made from smooth velvet, soft microfiber, and textured upholstery fabric, while their undersides often feature fluffy faux fur. They’re the perfect friend to cuddle up to, and that’s exactly what Bowen and her team do. She jokes, “We lay around all day rolling in stuffed animals, similar to how we would roll around in gold coins and jewels… if we had them.”

Some of the cuddly creatures even come with their own backstory. Margeaux—the huge, regal octopus—is said to have come from the sparkling blue waters of Cote d’Azur. “When she’s not embracing the famously glamorous lifestyle of the French Riviera, Margeaux can be found enjoying a peaceful stroll along the ocean floor,” says her product description. “In attempts to become more social, Margeaux has discovered a new love: visiting the tidepools and gently petting sea anemones.”
