Massive roof calligraphy breaks records in Russia

We just might be reaching a tipping point in street art and roof calligraphy today; because Pokras Lampas’ recent work has broken records in Russia.

Nearly a ton of paint was used by Lampas and his team while creating the most epic roof calligraphy, also known as “calligraffiti”, in Russia. Its very height measures about 22 stories and features sophisticated patterns in concentric circles.

Citing the complexity of the project, Lampas says, “This project breaks records on the complexity and scale in Russia. It was a real challenge for me and my team. We designed a brush with an ink surface of 1 meter, using four big brooms, specifically for this event.”
