Many have presupposed that true beauty is based on math, whether it’s through perfect symmetry, the golden ratio, or other mathematical equations that underlie the forms of nature.
Dublin-based digital artist Dave Whyte has edged into this concept with a series of animated GIFs that are constructed based on computational modules. Posting his work to the Tumblr site Bees and Bombs, the images dance, swirl, twirl, and spin. “Geometry in motion” is how the artist describes the series of brightly colored animations.
