Mesmerizing photography of crowds at the largest EDM festivals

Brooklyn-based photographer Felix R. Cid travelled to 12 different countries in 3 continents to photograph the crowds of the largest electronic music festivals around the world. After each festival he came back to his studio and utilized all the photographs to create a final large-scale collage-like image. The artist manages to achieve a mesmerizing sense of scale in his photographs, where the colorful crowds of humans recall clusters of galaxies in faraway cosmos or, on the contrary, millions of cells and molecules.

The artist says about his series, “Electronic music venues have a less rooted core to the admiration of one single individual… electronic music venues are more about the experiences of the public within themselves.” These crowds come together not to worship a celebrity, but to create an experience, together”.
