Miniature landscapes tucked away in vintage landscapes by Kathleen Vance

Kathleen Vance has created some neat miniature landscapes tucked inside vintage suitcases. What an amazing idea!

Titled Traveling Landscapes, the New York-based artist’s latest series of sculptures utilize real running water, soil, and living plant life to construct environments inside suitcases. The aim of the project is to speak out for the delicate nature of drinking water reservoirs and issues pertaining to water rights.

Listen beautiful relax classics on our Youtube channel.

Vance writes, “These pieces extenuate the desire for ‘untouched’ natural environments, and the claim and proprietorship that are placed on plots of land, which carries over to water rights.” Check out some images of the sculptures below and find more on here website.
