Miniature sculptures humorously describe life at work – and anyone can relate!

We all know somebody who lost it and gave up because of the struggles at work – you might even be one of them! This photographer, however, knows a thing or two on how to transform corporate slavery gripes into truly interesting art that is sure to make anyone’s day.

Derrick Lin has been there – the sleepless nights just to catch a deadline, the condescending comments of an overbearing boss, that obnoxious co-worker who everyone hates. These frustrations at work are what inspired his new art series called “WORK, Figuratively Speaking.” Each scene describes how frustrating life at work can be and does so in a humorous, extremely relatable way. The whole series was shot entirely from Lin’s iPhone and is soon to become a photo book.

“The best medium I found for those ‘little voices in my head’ was the miniature figures,” Lin said. “I then started utilizing them as a manifestation of my honest thoughts in a metaphorical or exaggerated way and started my photography series on Instagram.”
