A minimalistic greeting cards collection created by thie studios.

Based in Hamburg, Germany, thie studios is a design practice run by Katja Kirchner. During the past years, her work has been internationally recognized by D&AD, Cannes Lions, Red Dot, and the Art Directors Club. In 2017, thie studios’ collection of minimalistic greeting cards has been awarded with gold at the European Product Design Award.

The collection aims to shake up the mainstream boredom of the greeting card scene with a style that fits the zeitgeist of design affine people. Each design is very unique. Every motif has been designed only with simple geometric shapes. It needs just a few abstract forms to tell a story. Gold foil embossed details pressed with an original Heidelberg platen press give the cards a noble and high-quality touch. The collection includes more than 50 designs. Most of them as folded cards with envelopes but there are also some postcards included. The studio works regularly on new motifs to expand the collection constantly. A few can be found below.
