Moneta, a classic serif font family designed and published by typeface designer Santi Rey.
Designed in 2019 and published in the early days of 2020, Moneta is a new serif font family with a classic and legible appearance. The family includes four weights (Light, Regular, Bold, and Black) and comes with plenty of OpenType features such as several ligatures and alternates. Inspired by traditional broad-edged pen script, the Moneta font family is based on an elegant transitional serif typeface with high contrast. Due to the absence of true Italics, we recommend the typeface for titles and short text sections. It performs quite well in magazines, branding projects, and simply everything that asks for elegant and classic serif typography. Moneta’s well kerning ensures great readability in any size. The character set currently consists of 398 glyphs and supports multiple languages including Western Europe, Central/Eastern Europe, Baltic, Turkish, and Romanian.
