Lisbon-based artist Luisa Azevedo discovered Instagram and Photoshop when she was 15. She worked endlessly to perfect her photo editing skills and by 2015, her first ever Photoshop-enhanced image was published. Through the two platforms, she found a “daily challenge to deconstruct and reconstruct my own reality.” Along with her ongoing education in Multimedia Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, she continues to delve deeper into the world of graphic design and illustration.
For the last two years, however, Azevedo has been focusing on merging real images and out-of-place elements, creating a different kind of reality in the images that are totally out of this world. According to her, she tries to “create a dream-like world through my images where everything is possible.” She also believes that “there is no limit to imagination and creativity.”
