Naotaka Hiro’s exhibit is filled with revealing artwork, captivates his audience’s minds and eyes alike

The Box in L.A. plays host to Naotaka Hiro’s current exhibition of artwork. Hiro’s concept is to have one work reveal something about what the other piece of art conceals. It is as if you are watching an essay come to life, filled with contradicting action and constraint – having limited information versus understanding its entirety. And for all of the pieces, the artist’s focus is on the human body. Other pieces are works made using bronze, which extends the artistic legacy of Bruce Nauman, Hiro practices precision and elegance, as he realizes the notion of the human body as a way to create representations of itself.

Truly, each and every artwork in this show by Naotaka Hiro is able to captivate the mind and the eyes. You won’t just appreciate art in its beauty – your mind will also go through a journey of not knowing and then fully understanding. Hiro’s show is currently at The Box, 805 Traction Ave., L.A. It will run until January 28, 2017. For more information, visit TheBoxLA.com.
