NASA’s project Juno has been studying Jupiter for a while now and it has sent back a flurry of new high-res images revealing the planet to be unusually beautiful.
The spacecraft, launched in 2011, was tasked with studying Jupiter’s composition including atmosphere, magnetic force field, cloud coverage and more. The latest up-close images offer stunning views of the planet’s swirling blue and brown clouds that are reminiscent of expressionist paintings.
