Robbie Augspurger has captured the spirit of the ’80s in a series of portraits titled ‘Glamour & Headshots I and II‘ that recreate the look of the decade. Many of the portraits even include props.
Augspurger uses authentic equipment, including a 30-year-old school portrait light kit. The images are retouched and edited after they’ve been captured to resemble photos taken three decades ago.
Listen beautiful relax classics on our Youtube channel.
The results are striking, with an air of nostalgia that’s missing from most newer portraits or selfies. They’re a fantastic exploration of not only the era that they emulate, but also what can be done when mixing new and old technology.
