New Brooklyn fashion and film hub expected to increase growth in fashion and garment industry

A new complex for the arts in Brooklyn will soon be in construction to bring together individuals and groups in all artistic fields into one hub.

The Brooklyn Fashion and Film Hub, designed by WXY architecture + urban design, are primarily conceived to answer the demand for jobs and increase artistic opportunities and businesses. It is also a response to the rising rents at Midtown Manhattan’s Garment District.  The master plan will include a 100,000 square foot new building for film and television production and 7,500 square feet of food and manufacturing facility.

All these elements will be connected by pedestrian-friendly plazas and landscapes carefully planned to give access even to guests of the Bush Terminal Piers.

The whole $136 million project is expected to rake in investors and give out at least 80,000 construction jobs upon and eventually 100,000 good-paying jobs in the garment and food retail.
