New sci-fi drawings are an illustrated homage to Jules Verne

Mahendra Singh is an illustrator with a keen interest in classic sci-fi novels and the original illustrations that brought those books to life. For the past decade Singh has been researching and producing drawings in the style of his favorite illustrators, specifically the ones who worked with Jules Verne, author of multiple classic novels including “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.”

Each of Singh’s drawings is created using a meticulous pen and ink method to achieve an accurate style reflecting classic sci-fi illustrations. In one series he incorporates direct quotes from the original illustrations to give hardcore Verne-geeks something to drool over.
